126,000 Million Dollar Indemnity

PEPSI now has to pay a $160,000 million indemnity due to the absence to a court hearing. It seems to be a personal revenge from the court judge, since the requested compensation from two water companies were only about $75,000.
It started from secretary’s heedlessness. Although, she had received the reports and documents from the court, she put it aside telling that she was “busy” and she hadn’t announced it to her boss for next three weeks. However, the court judge proclaimed that PEPSI has to pay $160,000 million for the absence.
How did it go from $75,000 to $160,000 million?
I wonder what is going to happen to the silly secretary.
Do you think that there is any explainations for such a hard penalty?

Oh wow. The poor secretary has become the perfect example of the dangers of procrastination.
